Long weekend in Kraków for £73

If you fancy exploring Kraków – one of Europe’s most popular city break destinations – you’re in luck. I’ve spotted a great deal for a long weekend including return flights from Gatwick Airport (with Wizz Air) and a central 3* hotel (Ibis Kraków Centrum) for 3 nights from 29th February (Saturday) to 3rd March (Tuesday).  Plus, if you want to upgrade to a fancier hotel, you can upgrade to a range of 5* options on these dates for as little as an extra £25pp.

How to book the hotel

Firstly, head to TopCashback.com, the best paying cashback site for this particular deal. If you haven’t got an account with them, sign up now!

Once signed up, search for ‘Accor’. Click ‘get cashback’ and it will take you to the Accor website (the parent company of Ibis Hotels). This will provide you with 8% cashback on your hotel stay which should be paid back to you within a month or two of your stay.

On the Accor website, book the Ibis Kraków Centrum from 29th February – 3rd March for a total of £103 as shown below. As you’ll get 8% cashback, this will effectively bring the cost of the hotel down to £95 (or £47.50 per person) for the 3 nights. It’s not ultra luxury – but this hotel is well rated and centrally located, just what you need for a European short break.

How to book the flights

The dates I’ve selected are some of the cheapest I’ve seen for the next 12 months. Head to the Wizz Air website and book direct with them for the dates, as shown below:

It’s worth noting that Wizz Air’s baggage policy is pretty strict, but if you’re OK with taking a backpack for what is a short trip, you’ll be just fine.

Plus – you can get bonus Avios points when you pay through a British Airways American Express Card. If you haven’t got one, you can apply for one by following this link, and you could get a bonus 6,000 points just for signing up.
