International travel this summer is looking tricky – with confusing rules from the UK government – and the additional cost of tests making it less attractive to venture abroad. That said, there are some great flight deals to be had for those intrepid travellers desperate to escape to somewhere new.
I’ve spotted some particularly cheap flights from Bournemouth to Malta from £15 return with RyanAir – including dates in July & August – and available from next week (22nd-29th July). The flights leave and return on a Thursday, ideal for those looking for a cheap 7-day break.
A note of caution though – Malta requires you to be fully vaccinated and complete pre-arrival forms – but there is no isolation on arrival requirements. On your way back to the UK, you have to follow the UK government’s travel guidance for ‘Green’ countries, which includes a test before you board your flight, and a test on or before Day 2 of being back in the UK. That said, these are remarkably cheaper now, with the test before you board your flight available at Malta airport for approx £30, and a Day 2 UK home test for £28.
HOW TO BOOK
- Head to SkyScanner.net – search for Bournemouth to Malta return – using Thursday outward/return dates. It’s as simple as that!
